Delivering your fireworks
Out of season (January to September) we usually send out orders on a Tuesday or Wednesday each week for next day delivery. This helps to keep costs down for us and you. But please, if your order is urgent get in touch and we will do our utmost to help. From Oct 1st to Dec 23rd or whenever our carrier’s cut-off is for the Christmas break, we are shipping out orders on a daily basis and we will endeavour to get your order to you within 3 working days of you placing the order.
Charges
Carriage charges are expensive for fireworks. Being explosives they’re classed as hazardous goods and as such not many courier companies will take them. Combined with the special boxes that we have to use which have to undergo rigorous testing plus the cost of packing the fireworks means that, all in all, shipping a box of fireworks is a LOT more expensive than shipping a box of pretty much anything else!
We can currently only deliver to mainland UK. Shipping costs are calculated by the shipping postcode and are worked out automatically for you when you checkout. We offer FREE DELIVERY on any order over £200 in the following postcode areas;
SG, AL, LU, MK
Shipping is FREE on all orders over £500 wherever you are in the country. Certain postcodes a long way from HQ attract a higher delivery charge or a higher minimum order value before you qualify for free delivery. For orders below this amount the shipping cost increases the further you are from our HQ. For some postcodes, for instance those in the Scotland, you will prompted to contact us during the checkout process and we will work out a cost for you. Delivery to these postcodes can take up to 5 working days so please give us plenty of notice.
We currently do not offer timed delivery or Saturday deliveries.
Delivery charges are calculated after any discount given. Please only sign for the number of cartons that you receive.
We will send an email or call you to let you know when your fireworks are being dispatched. Please ensure someone aged 18 or over is at the delivery address to accept and sign for the delivery. Due to the nature of the goods deliveries will not be left unsigned for or with anyone who appears to be under 18. ID may be asked for. If no one is in when delivery is attempted, we will charge you a non-delivery fee of £100 and attempt to deliver your fireworks the following day. If after a second attempt we can still not deliver your order, your fireworks will be returned to us and we reserve the right to charge you a fee of 20% of the order value for restocking. In all cases, we advise that it’s better to have your fireworks delivered to your place of work if you are in any doubt that you will be in.
Collecting your fireworks
You. are free to collect your order, big or small. You can collect from the Love Fireworks shop in Sandy, Bedfordshire. The shop is only open at certain times of the year so we’ll contact you to arrange a convenient date and time if your collection is out of season.
When the shop is open during October/November your order will come through to HQ. We don’t have space to store all of our range at the shop so please don’t come to collect until we email you to say that it’s ready.
On collection, please bring a copy of your order confirmation with you and the payment card used to pay for your order so that we know who you are!
Unwanted goods
We do NOT offer a sale or return service. If you decide that you no longer want the items, you must contact us within seven days of delivery. We will then arrange for our specialist courier to collect the items from you. (It is illegal to send the items through the postal service or an unlicensed courier) The items must be unopened and in their original packaging. However, you may open transport packaging to inspect the goods. Refunds will be issued upon receipt and inspection of the goods within 30 days less any carriage charges and other costs incurred by us.
In addition to these terms we reserve the right to charge a 20% restocking fee.
