The Indoor Fireworks phenomenon

Why are indoor fireworks so popular?

Indoor Fireworks are an ever popular product, especially around Christmas time and New Year’s Eve. Their attraction never wanes and we began to wonder why?

My earliest memories of indoor fireworks hark back to the 1980’s when my parents bought a box – I can’t remember exactly why  they bought them. Maybe because they knew I was fascinated with fireworks from such a young age. I remember items in the box with such names as Dragons Breath and Slippery Serpents – the former were what looked like just tightly rolled pieces of paper and the latter looking just like round pellets. Upon lighting, the Dragon’s Breath sent out small puffs of the most foul smelling smoke and the pellets comically grew into something resembling a small dogs turd! I also vividly remember the items leaving a stain on my mum’s china plate which proved impossible to remove. They are my earliest memories of indoor fireworks as a child.

Fast forward to the 90’s and 2000’s and I don’t remember them being available at all. I did read somewhere that it was because a lot of the items were found to be carcinogenic (😯😯) but I’m not sure that that’s true. It’s more likely that I’d gone onto larger, more exciting fireworks by then so Indoor Fireworks were not top of my agenda to look up.

Fast forward once again to the 2020’s and today and, now we run a fireworks company and the Love Fireworks shop, it is obvious to us that maybe peoples love of Indoor Fireworks has never gone away. Throughout the year the odd box will leave us but come Christmas and New Year sales will rocket! Yes, they are naff but that seems to be the attraction for most people. In terms of volume they are probably our highest sellers and they are certainly the most reviewed product on our website with 5 star reviews across the board. Perhaps it’s parents introducing the joy of fireworks to their children or maybe it’s the parents themselves reminiscing about their own childhood. Either way, it’s clear to see that Indoor Fireworks are as popular as ever. You can buy your bumper pack today for just £15.99 by clicking the link opposite.
